The ISU World Cup Speed Skating #2 2018-2019, (Championships Qual.) takes place from 23th until 25th November 2018 in Tomakomai, Japan.

The ISU World Cup Speed Skating is a series of international Speed Skating competitions which takes place annually.

The Series started in 1984 and usually consists of six or seven events including the ISU World Cup Speed Skating Final. The events take place across North America, Europe and Asia.

Skaters can earn points at each competition, and the skater who has the most points on a given distance at the end of the series is the World Cup winner of that particular distance.

Skaters also cumulate Grand World Cup points each time they compete in a distance. During the ISU World Cup Speed Skating Final, the Lady and the Man with the most Grand World Cup points is crowned the Grand World Cup winners.

The results on the separate distances in the World Cup ranking are the main qualifying method for the ISU World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships.

A number of World Cup titles are awarded every season, for Men: 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m, combined 5000 m / 10000 m, Team Pursuit, Mass Start and Team Sprint. For Ladies 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m, the combined 3000 m / 5000 m, Team Pursuit, Mass Start and Team Sprint.

The best of Germany’s young show jumpers will demonstrate their skills at the Aachen Jumping Youngstars from November 29th to December 2nd 2018.

The aspiring top young show-jumpers have been hailing in the festive season at the Salut-Festival Aachen for over a quarter of a century. In four age groups they battle it out to take the victories in the Grand Prix and the title of Indoor Champion. The organisers have expanded the show calendar for aspiring young athletes from 2017 onwards by adding a further spectacular weekend to the programme. The week after the Salut-Festival the best international young dressage riders will also compete in Aachen.

From December 06th to 09th the best international young dressage riders will compete at the Aachen Dressage Youngstars 2018.

Created in 1926, the CHI Geneva is one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian competitions. Each year, Palexpo welcomes the very best riders and drivers of the planet on the biggest indoor arena (5,400m2).

Awarded eight times the world’s best equestrian competition, the CHI Geneva is part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping alongside the CHIO Aachen (GER), the Spruce Meadows “Masters” of Calgary (CAN) and the Dutch Masters of ‘s-Hertogenbosch (NED).

The Concours Hippique International de Genève has hosted two finals of the Show Jumping World Cup (1996 and 2010) as well as thirteen Rolex IJRC Top 10 Finals. The Champions Challenge© presented by Rolex is also one of the highlights of the event, as are the Indoor Cross Country, the Driving World Cup and the Dressage which made its comeback at CHI Geneva in 2016 after 15 years of absence.

Each year, 700 highly motivated volunteers bring the event to life and welcome 42,000 spectators over the four days.
